DCR
In ophthalmoplasty, DCR (laser assisted dacriocistorinostomy) is the most innovative application relating to the use of LASEmaR®.
The optical fiber can make a transcanalicular ostomy without having to cut the skin at the inside. An endoscopic nasal examination is required in order to make a proper size ostomy.
In peri-ocular aesthetics, Endolift therapy can be used to tighten the skin of the lower eyelid and also for lipolysis. This treatment is particularly suitable for young patients or patients with mild, moderate or unilateral lipoptosis. It is also provides good results in "difficult" patients where surgery would be very complicated and there is no guarantee of a good outcome. These are patients with malignant oedemas or in the presence of large festoons.
